Democracy is a charity open to all and our stated goal is the dissemination of civic freedoms and democratic values all over the world. 

Our aim is to raise awareness about the significance of democracy where it is most needed, and to work with communities to achieve their goals and establish democracy and civic liberties where they are lacking. 

We believe everyone in the world should enjoy the following basic rights:

• The right to life and to live in peace and safety
• The right to free speech
• The right to own a home and raise a family
• The right to an education and develop one’s full potentials
• The right to vote and elect government
• The right to travel freely 
• The right to hold government to account
• The right to healthcare and old-age care
• The right to assemble and form political parties
